Hi, I’m Mohammed Furkhan Ahmed, the founder of Morsel.

Before this I worked at HSBC UK as a financial consultant. I have a Master’s in International Business from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor’s from ICFAI Business School, and my schooling was at the International Indian School in Al Jubail.

I started Morsel because I kept seeing the same thing. At the end of every day, perfectly good food went in the bin while the restaurant that cooked it lost money, and plenty of people nearby would have been glad to buy a good meal at a fair price.

That never made sense to me.

Running a restaurant is hard. Food costs keep rising, rent and wages are relentless, and demand is impossible to predict. Staying profitable is a struggle, especially for an independent place still building a name, and unsold food becomes a cost nobody chose.

Morsel helps restaurants earn from their daily surplus by connecting it with nearby customers looking for great food at a great price. More meals enjoyed. More revenue recovered. Everyone wins.
